Ketamine-Assisted Therapy

I offer a therapeutic modality called Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in partnership with an organization called Journey Clinical. Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a holistic modality in which ketamine is used in-session as a complement to psychotherapy to help eligible patients experience more frequent breakthroughs and sustained improvement in symptoms. Psychedelic Preparation Therapy

If you are embarking on a psychedelic journey, I can provide comprehensive support and guidance as you get ready for your experience. This therapy focuses solely on preparing for the experience and does not involve administering psychedelic substances during our sessions. Together, we will explore your intentions and fears, equipping you with the tools and mindset necessary to navigate the journey safely and confidently. With a compassionate and personalized approach, we help you cultivate a strong foundation for your psychedelic exploration. If you'd like to explore this option with me, email me at carly[at]goldsteinschutherapy.com or contact me here.

03

Psychedelic Integration Therapy

Psychedelic integration can help you solidify the profound insights and experiences gained from psychedelic journeys. Integration therapy does not include administering psychedelic substances during our sessions. Instead, we work together to process and integrate the wisdom, emotions, and perceptions that emerge from those experiences. If you'd like to explore this option with me, email me at carly[at]goldsteinschutherapy.com or contact me here

KETAMINE-ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY

Ketamine is a legal, safe and effective medicine used to treat a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety and PTSD. Ketamine has rapidly-acting antidepressant and mood-enhancing effects. It works by blocking the brain’s NMDA receptors while also stimulating AMPA receptors, which are thought to help form new synaptic connections and boost neural circuits that regulate stress and mood. Ketamine has also been shown to enhance overall neuroplasticity for lasting symptom improvement.

The effects of ketamine, which most clients find pleasant, last for approximately 45-60 minutes. These effects can make you feel “far from” your body, and facilitate shifts in perception that often feel expansive in nature. Your motor and verbal abilities will be reduced, so you’ll be lying down in a comfortable position during the experience. Once these effects subside, we spend the remainder of the appointment processing the experience. Research supports the power of integration in increasing the durability of positive effects, so we will always schedule integration sessions for 1-5 days post-dosing session.

KAP is a highly individual process, making it difficult to summarize the process and the cost. If you would like to explore the possibility of working with me on KAP, please e-mail me at carly[at]goldsteinschutherapy.com to discuss eligibility, cost, and next steps. We can always set up a free phone consultation to answer any questions you may have.
